Who is Daniel?
I'm a reader, a movie lover, a gamer, a writer.
In short, I am a geek. All my life I've loved a good story, ever since my Mom would read the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and too many others to remember. Some of my favorite (if a bit blurred) memories are of sitting around with my brother and sister and listening to these tales of incredible adventures unfold. From then on I was hooked. Whether it was listening to an old favorite or going with her to bookstores to find something new I couldn't get enough. But life moves on. My Mom got busier and didn't have as much time to read to me. Yet there were still books to read, adventures left unfinished. So I decided (eventually) to read them myself and haven't slowed down since. Books, TV, movies, I devoured all of them, taking all of it in eagerly and then looking for the next, moving into games as the stories got bigger and more in-depth. But while I enjoyed all of these, little parts of my mind would watch and think 'I wish this had happened' or 'what if the character was like this instead?'. The more I read and watched, the more ideas flooded my thoughts, often merging, separating, changing, and growing. My mind became saturated with them until I had to do something. So I went to my Mom's computer, opened the word processor, and started writing. |
